The present invention relates to novel scheme and method for the development of marker for the detection of common adulterants of urine of cow of Indian breed. Urine is usually yellow or clear, depending upon the health and diet of cow. It usually has an ammonia-like odor due to the nitrogenous wastes that make up about 5% of the fluid (the remaining 95% is water). The present invention is relates to the detection of specific adulterant by strip method .A scheme and method for the identification, detection of adulterants has been described in the invention For detection of water, urea and salt in the urine sample we have developed test strip coated with specific enzymes and chemicals to detect the water, urea and salt according to its concentration in the cow urine by a colour change on the strip.
