The present invention refers to the obtention of a compound material using as matrix a polymer of the urethane type and nanoparticles of silver that provide an antibacterial and antifungal effect to the compound. The material has the property of controlling the generation, growth and spread of bacteria, as well as pathogen fungi causing diseases in the feet. Said material provides different characteristics to products of the local industry, especially in the sportive footwear and in the medical footwear for people requiring special cares in the feet, such as people suffering from diabetes mellitus.
