A compression device for a limb is disclosed. The compression device comprises a sleeve adapted to surround the limb, an inelastic layer, and an inflatable cell. The sleeve comprises an inelastic layer and a cell constructed from an inner part joined to an outer part by one or more side walls so that the cell has a box-like configuration. The inner part conforms to the shape of the limb when the cell is inflated to provide an even pressure to the limb. The inner part is elastic and is able to adopt the profile of the limb on inflation.
