ROLLER DEVICE FOR MACHINING PROFILED GROOVES BY INTERMITTENT COLD PLASTIC DEFORMATION

The invention relates to a roller device for machining some profiled grooves on cylindrical or plane surfaces by cold plastic deformation, by intermittent rolling, meant to be used with multifunction machines, such as a milling cutter. According to the invention, the device comprises two bodies (1 and 2), between which a spacer (3) is fixed by some screws (4), the bodies being provided at their front parts with some covers (5 and 6) fixed by some screws (7), some profiled rollers (8, 9 and 10) whose number is equal to the number of some profiled grooves to be machined on a piece, having some profiles identical with the profiles to be achieved on the piece and axially shifted on the said rollers (8, 9 10) so that each roller works on one groove, they being freely rotatable within the two bodies (1 and 2) upon rolling the grooves on the piece to be machined, where, as the profiles are arranged on the rollers (8, 9 and 10) in accordance with the grooves pitch, two rotations are needed for generating circular grooves on cylindrical surfaces and the intermittent rolling is achieved upon angularly shifted arrangement of the rollers (8, 9 and 10).
