A method for the differential diagnosis of thrombotic complications in fractures comprises the determining of erythrocyte sedimentation rate, thrombocytopenia, antibodies to cardiolipin. The pVCAM-1 blood serum levels are detected and by its value the mixed venous and arterial thrombosis is diagnosed.
