A wine protector device (10) adapted, in use, to protect wine in an opened wine bottle (12), provided with a neck (23) and a body portion (13), said protective device being formed wine (10) in a first expanded condition as a disc member (10) having an edge region peripheral outer (42) approximating internal transverse dimensions of the body portion (13) of the opened wine bottle (12) being deformable said protective device (10) flexibly so that its introduction is allowed through the neck region (23) of the opened wine bottle (12) and, once in said body portion (13) can recover its shape to said first expanded position, for disposal on the surface of wine remaining in said body region (13), establishing a barrier restricting air contact with the remaining wine in the wine bottle open (12), charact bristling said wine protector device (10) that has a construction in several parts, including a thin interior of spring material (11) which can be deformed flexibly by rolling or folding sheet, but recovers a substantially flat disposition once forces external deformation are removed, said thin sheet of spring material (11) is disposed between two sheets or outer layers of plastics material (14, 15, 40, 41, 42, 46, 47, 50, 51) connected together to contain the thin sheet of spring material (11) therein in a sealed zone.
