Method for jointly locating nodes in a collaborative network. The method is based on the existence of a node (passive), the position of which is found from the locating requests made by a subset of nodes in the same network (active). The active nodes, that is to say those which initiate interchange of messages with the network in order to find out the position thereof, use a locating technique based on estimating the return time between the node and a network element (landmark). The method presented makes it possible to estimate the propagation times of the active nodes in the passive node. This knowledge makes it possible to jointly calculate the position of the active nodes and that of the passive node.
