Provided are a method and apparatus for generating user-customized content by combining at least one content unit based on situation and context information. The method for providing user-customized content comprises the following steps: receiving creation rules for creating user-customized content using a combination of content units; identifying users and receiving information on the static situation of each identified user's personality and on each user's current situation and dynamic context; reading the content units appropriate for each user with reference to content descriptors of content units stored in a database, which are based on static context information and dynamic context information; and creating user-customized content from the content units read in the previous step and according to said creation rules. The present invention facilitates a user's search for personalized content and provides optimized personal content.
