The optical fiber stripper comprises: a top portion (52) and a bottom portion (54), the bottom portion attaches to the top portion and can translate relative to the bottom portion from an open position to a closed position, wherein one of the top portion or the bottom portion includes a fiber slot and the other portion includes a pushing surface for advancing an optical fiber into the fiber slot.
