Use of carbodiimides as colour stabiliser in melting adhesives

Hot melt adhesive composition comprises at least 2-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-6-[[3-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl]methyl-4-methylphenyl]acrylate as an antioxidant and at least one carbodiimide compound. An independent claim is also included for preparing the hot melt adhesive composition, comprising mixing at least one carbodiimide for color stabilization of the hot melt adhesive and an antioxidant comprising 2-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-6-[[3-(1,1-dimethylethyl)-2-hydroxy-5-methylphenyl]methyl-4-methylphenyl]acrylate, with the hot melt adhesive, after preparing the hot melt adhesive.
