A technique of computing a realistic cross-section layout of a wire bundle which corresponds to the initial arrangement of wires. Geometrical data are obtained by a geometrical data obtaining means (11a), and the layout data corresponding to the geometrical data is obtained by layout data obtaining means (11b).
