Polyuric material with biocidal characteristics

Polyurea (I) from a guanidinium compound (II), a diisocyanate compound (III) and/or diisothiocyanate compound (IV), is new. Polyurea (I) from a guanidinium compound of formula ((R1-N(R2)-C(= +NH 2)-N(R3)-R4) (X -)) (II), a diisocyanate compound of formula (O=C=N-R6-N=C=O) (III) and/or diisothiocyanate compound of formula (S=C=N-R7-N=C=S) (IV), is new. R1-R4 : H, [(C(= +NH 2)-NHR5) (X -)] or an organic residue; R5 : H or organic residue; X -anion, preferably fluoride, chloride, bromide, iodide, hydroxide, acetate, phosphate, diphosphate, sulfate, sulfide, nitrate, thiocyanate, carbonate, maleate, fumarate, tartrate, mesylate, gluconate or toluene sulfonate; and R6, R7 : 1-40C-organic residue. An independent claim is included for the preparation of (I).
