PURPOSE: A dye for a dye-sensitized solar cell is provided to improve photoelectric current conversion efficiency of a solar cell when applied to a light absorbing layer for a solar cell, to increase open circuit voltage, and to suppress dark current.;CONSTITUTION: A dye for a dye-sensitized solar cell includes a material selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by chemical formula 1, a compound represented by chemical formula 2, and combinations thereof. In chemical formulas 1 and 2, R1-R3, R9-R12, R13-R15 and R21-R23 which are the same or different are independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, substituted or unsubstituted aromatic organic group, substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, substituted or unsubstituted aliphatic organic group, substituted or unsubstituted cycloaliphatic organic group, and combinations thereof.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
