PURPOSE: A recording control method and an optical disc drive using the same are provided to prevent recording features from being deteriorated due to a disc deviation and deviations among optical disc drive components.;CONSTITUTION: An optimum power control process for adjusting a recording power value and an optimum write strategy tuning control process for adjusting parameter values related to recording pulse generation are simultaneously performed to set a recording power value and parameter values related to the recording pulse generation(S203,S204). The set recording power value and parameter values are applied to record data in a disc(S205).
