PURPOSE: A peanut allergenic property reduction method, and peanut with the reduced allergenic property are provided to reduce the allergenic property of the peanut by acidifying the peanut. CONSTITUTION: A peanut allergenic property reduction method comprises a step of acid-treating peanuts. The acid-treating process uses acid with the pH less than 3, selected from either vinegar or acetic acid. The allergenic property reduction method is performed by reducing the reactivity of specific IgE of the peanut and peanut protein.
