PURPOSE: An anticancer composition containing Ecklonia cava-derived 6,6'-bieckol is provided to downregulate NF-kappa B and to relieve cancer symptoms.;CONSTITUTION: An anticancer composition contains 6,6'-bieckol of chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient. The 6,6'-bieckol is derived from Ecklonia cava. The expression of MMP-2 and MMP-9 is suppressed by NF-kappa B downregulation by the 6,6'-bieckol.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
