PURPOSE: A testing apparatus for hydrogen generation by two-step thermochemical water splitting is provided to implement thermal oxidation reaction and hydrolysis reaction in a single reactor. CONSTITUTION: A testing apparatus for hydrogen generation by two-step thermochemical water splitting comprises an inert gas supply line(110), a thermal oxidation line(120), a hydrolysis line(130), a vapor supply part(140), switching valves(151), a reaction part(160), a collecting part(170), and a hydrogen generation part(180). The thermal oxidation line is branched from the inert gas supply line and copes with thermal oxidation reaction. The hydrolysis line is branched from the inert gas supply line and copes with hydrolysis reaction. The vapor supply part is connected to the hydrolysis line and supplies vapor of high temperature. The switching valves are respectively installed in the bifurcation and intersection point of the thermal oxidation line and the hydrolysis line to select the thermal oxidation line or the hydrolysis line. The reaction part is connected to the intersection point of the hydrolysis line and the thermal oxidation line and implements two-step thermochemical reaction using solar energy. The collecting part collects the water delivered from the reactive part while discharging hydrogen. The hydrogen generation part outputs the hydrogen discharged from the collecting part.
