PURPOSE: A reliable setting of voltage and frequency in a microprocessor is provided to efficiently perform a DVFS(Dynamic Voltage And Frequency Scaling) by managing operations related with the voltage and the frequency. CONSTITUTION: A sequence of voltage/frequency change requests are received(302). The sequence of voltage change requests are dynamically shifted forward with respect to the sequence of corresponding frequency change operations(304). An indicator voltage change request is automatically added at the end of the sequence of voltage change requests to signal the completion of a previous voltage change request and/or DVFS operation(306). One or more of the voltage change requests are transmitted to each DCA supplying power to one or more processors(308). Whether a succeed response is detected from all DCAs(310).
