PURPOSE: An electronic book content searching service system, and an electronic book content searching service method are provided to supply rapid and reliable searching results by constructing an e-book contents database based on e-book contents. CONSTITUTION: An index executing unit(210) analyzes a body text of e-book contents to extract words, and performs the indexing work for the words. A search dictionary information management unit(230) creates, stores and manages the search dictionary information based on predetermined dictionary resource. The search dictionary information includes the index information of the word corresponding to the e-book contents. If a search request is received, a search service provider(250) provides search results by searching e-book contents corresponding to the search word depending on the search request based on the search dictionary information.
