PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a polyester resin is provided to easily and economically prepare a polyester resin with excellent yellowness by removing causes causing yellowness.;CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing a polyester resin with excellent yellowness comprises a step of mixing ethylene glycol with terephthalic acid in a molar ratio of 1.0-3.0 to prepare slurry and then performing a polymerization reaction, wherein an excess of ethylene glycol is collected in the polymerization reaction and in purified through two-stage purification steps and the purified ethylene glycol is reused in the process for manufacturing a polyester resin.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
