PURPOSE: An IPTV service control device and IPTV service providing method using the same are provided to process EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information to be optimized to an IPTV terminal environment. ;CONSTITUTION: Based on user information of an IPTV terminal(100), a service control unit(400) performs user authentication. According to EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information request of an authenticated user, the service control function generates EPG information. The service control function provides a requested IPTV service to an IPTV terminal.
