PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method of driving the same is provided to prevent the increase of the input pin of a connector, thereby there is no need to perform additional design. ;CONSTITUTION: In a liquid crystal display device and a method of driving the same, a first memory(M1) is mounted in a system board(SB). The first memory stores first drive information. A timing control circuit(TC) is mounted in a control board(CB). The control board receives a signal from the system board. An SCL input pin and an SDA input pin transmit first drive information through I2C communication. The first drive information is transmitted to a timing control circuit. A data driving circuit(330) and a gate driving circuit(320) drive the liquid crystal panel. The data driving circuit and the gate driving circuit are controlled according to a control signal.
