SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING A TRAFFIC LANE BY SENSING THE DEVIATION OF THE TRAFFIC LANE IN ADVANCE USING A CONTROLLER AND GENERATING AN AUXILIARY STEERING TORQUE TOWARD THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE LANE DEVIATION DIRECTION
PURPOSE: System and method for maintaining a traffic lane is provided to keep the traffic lane of a vehicle by preventing the lane deviation through the steering control for lane keeping using a steering control device.;CONSTITUTION: A system(100) for maintaining a traffic lane comprises a forward distance setting unit(110), a traffic lane information acquisition unit(120), an auxiliary steering torque calculating unit(130), and a lane keeping control unit(140). The forward distance setting unit sets the forward distance on a basis of at least one kind of the information of a vehicle state and a road condition. The traffic lane information acquisition unit obtains the lane information according to the set forward distance. The auxiliary steering torque calculating unit calculates an auxiliary steering torque for lane keeping control on a basis of the obtained traffic lane information. The lane keeping control unit performs the lane keeping control by generating the calculated auxiliary steering torque to a steering control device.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
