PURPOSE: A device, for discriminating asymmetric flow in a mold, and a method for controlling asymmetry flow are provided to control an amount of molten metal by controlling injection of molten steel into the mold based on a asymmetry flow discernment result.;CONSTITUTION: A device, for discriminating asymmetric flow in a mold, comprises a mold(30), measurement units(110,160), and a judgment unit(210). The mold accepts a submerged nozzle(25) installed at the tundish. The mold receives the molten steel discharged from ejecting holes(25a) of the submerged nozzle. The measurement units are correspondently arranged to a pair of walls(31,32) facing each other. The measurement units measure the temperature of correspondent parts of the mold. The judgment unit is connected to the measurement unit. The judgment unit determines a symmetrical state of flow pattern of the molten steel based on the comparison of temperature values of the counter parts.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2012
