PURPOSE: A schedule alarm method using a short message in a portable terminal and apparatus thereof are provided to enable a user not to forget a schedule by informing the schedule through a short message service.;CONSTITUTION: A message analysis unit(424) informs the specific content of a short message service using a search engine. When a memory unit remind a specific point to a user using the received short message service, a remind message is stored and created based on the content of the received short message service.
