PURPOSE: A method for decommissioning a nuclear reactor shielding concrete for a research is provided to reduce waste disposal costs by separating concretes through the analysis of the radiation level and contamination level. CONSTITUTION: A core boring sample is collected(S110). A plurality of core boring cut samples are generated by cutting the core boring sample with a constant length(S120). A radiation level is measured from a core center to the surface of a concrete shielding material(S130). The radiation level of the core boring cut sample is measured according to the depth(S140). A radiation distribution is generalized to separate the radioactive concrete from the inactive concrete according to the radiation level(S150). A waste is decommissioned(S160).
