DNA marker for the identification of Anguilla eel species

PURPOSE: A DNA marker for determining Anguilla japonica species and a method for determining Anguilla japonica using the same are provided to distinguish domestic Anguilla and foreign Anguilla. CONSTITUTION: A genome DNA-derived polynucleotide for determining Anguilla japonica is denoted by sequence number 1 or 4. A genome DNA-derived polynucleotide for determining A. bicolor bicolor is denoted by sequence number 2 or 5. A genome DNA-derived polynucleotide for determining A. Anguilla is denoted by sequence number 3 or 7. A method for determining the Anguilla species comprises: a step of isolating DNA from Anguilla; a step of performing PCR using a primer of sequence number 8 and DNA as a template; a step of analyzing 500-600bp of PCR product length or base sequence among the PCR product; and a step of determining the Anguilla species.
