METHOD OF TREATING SQUAMOUS CELL CANCER OF ANAL CANAL

FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, oncology, and can be used for treating squamous cell cancer of anal canal. That is ensured by two-stage therapy every 2-3 weeks. The I stage involves beam therapy on the area of small pelvis: a primary tumour, pararectal, pelvic, inguinal lymph nodes from both sides. A single basic dose is 2 Gy for 20 sessions to total basic doses 44 Gy. Starting with the 9th sessions of beam therapy, the radiation fraction is preceded with 5 sessions of local electromagnetic hyperthermia. On the 2nd and 4th days of local electromagnetic hyperthermia sessions, metronidazole as an ingredient of a composite mixture is introduced through rectum with exposition 5 hours before radiation. On the days of the introduction of metronidazole, local electromagnetic hyperthermia follows the radiation fraction with single basic dose 4 Gy.;EFFECT: method allows avoiding a surgery, namely combined abdominoperineal resection, increasing recurrence-free survival rate and improving quality of life of the patients.;2 cl, 1 tbl, 2 ex
