A system to locate and pinpoint a person in motion or stopped in a hostile or highly degraded environment. For an individual moving on foot in any environment, the Localization System (1-8) continuously gives this individual positioning coordinates into the environment from its entry point. The Localization System is based on morphological data of the individual and integrates real-time movement by its acquisition of the characteristics of his appearance as the result of the simultaneous combination of the angles formed by the ankles, knees and hips of the individual progression, as measured by electro-goniometer and interpreted according to the calculation method developed by the inventors. The Localization System outperforms other existing solutions for locating an individual in a difficult environment, such as for example the one corresponding to the interior of an underground building partially collapsed and filled with opaque smoke, but the system does not present a risk of failure to the extent that it does not use the identification by waves or by any vision system. The Localization System is specially designed and adapted to allow the progress and location of rescue teams in disaster environments.
