The system has a fuel filler pipe (18) opened in a fuel tank (2), and a filling ventilation pipe (6) attached to the fuel tank by a filling ventilation connection (4). A ventilation pipe (14) is extended from the fuel tank and lockable by a roll-over valve (12) that is arranged at the fuel tank. A float valve (8) is inserted into the filling ventilation pipe, which opens into a filter device (10) or the fuel filler pipe. The roll-over valve closes flow connection between the fuel tank and the filter device during roll-over of a motor vehicle. The filter device is designed as an activated charcoal filter.
