The braking system (2) has a front wheel, a rear wheel with a front wheel brake (10) and a rear wheel brake (18) and a regulating unit for the regulation of the brake pressures at the respective front wheel brake and the rear wheel brake. A drive shaft of an electric motor (84) is connected with a rear axle (88). The regulating unit is configured in such a manner that it operates during operation of an operating device of the electric motor (84) as generator for producing of recuperative brake torque on the rear axle. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a motor vehicle, which has a hybrid drive system; and (2) a method for operating a braking system.
