The method involves measuring actual battery voltage (Ub), and measuring battery cell voltage (Uz) of a cell of a battery. A threshold value of battery voltage (Gb) is set to the actual battery voltage when the battery cell voltage exceeds or falls below a preset cell voltage threshold (Gz). Power electronics and a battery controller are attached to the battery, and a voltage difference between the power electronics and the battery controller is measured. The threshold value of the battery voltage is constantly corrected based on the voltage difference. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a voltage threshold for power prognosis of a battery.
