The robot (100) has a disturbance detection device sending an emergency operation signal if a sensorly detected forthcoming collision is signaled. An emergency operation device (26) of an auxiliary device is connected with the disturbance detection device, and is unscrewed from a movement field of transport devices around an axis (11) during disturbance of a robot arm (10) and/or introducing movement of the robot. The axis is designed as a horizontal or vertical rotation axis around which the robot is rotated. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for controlling an industrial robot (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions to perform a method for controlling an industrial robot.
