The device (1) has two contact regions (2, 3) designed for partially receiving a cable, where the device is fastened to a body of a vehicle such that one of the contact regions faces towards the body and the other contact region faces away from the body. The two contact regions lie opposite to each other and are designed as curved surfaces. The two contact regions exhibit parallel running longitudinal extensions (L), where long sides of the contact regions are provided with projections (6, 7). Two planes form an angle relative to each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening a cable harness to a body of a motor vehicle.
