The method involves adjusting a solar cell unit in two axes around two preset adjustment angles, respectively, and receiving two sets of intensity values. A stored intensity profile of the solar cell unit is provided. An optimal angle of the solar cell unit is determined and adjusted based on intensity curves that are based on the two sets of intensity values. Angular position deviation of the solar cell unit is determined based on the intensity values, the adjustment angles and the intensity profile. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for testing a solar cell unit (2) a solar cell system comprising a solar cell unit.
