The method involves providing a solar cells unit (91) with polymer solar cells having a carrier substrate and an organic semiconductor layer. The semiconductor layer has an upper side that faces a light source (95) and a rear side that is turned away from the light source. The solar cells are formed by an inmold-process and a touch-forming-process, so that an upper side of the solar cells has a surface profile, which enlarges a surface of the upper side with respect to a smooth surface profile. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a polymer-solar cell (2) a polymer-based solar cell having a carrier substrate and an organic semiconductor layer.
