The dispenser (10) has a container (20) i.e. form-stable container, with an aperture (50) for dispensing fluid from the container, and a support (70) for detachably supporting the container. A pump (30) applies the fluid, and a control device (130) has a contactless sensor (150) e.g. photodiode, activated when a body part i.e. hand, approaches the dispenser. The amount of fluid dispensed during activation of the sensor remains constant based on production time of the pump independent of residual amount of the fluid in the container and duration of activation of the sensor.
