The system has a relocating mat (1) with longitudinal edges (3), and an upper side of the relocating mat facing toward a lying person and a lower side facing opposite to the lying person. A handle (5) is arranged in the longitudinal edges for laterally relocating the relocating mat, and a region is provided with a non-promoting support in the lower side of the relocating mat. A cover (11) is detectably fastened to the longitudinal edges on both sides of the non-promoting support and provided with a non-promoting inner layer and non-promoting outer layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for relocating person lying on mattress or mat.
