The housing (1) has a fastening device (6) fastening the housing at a sheet metal part (2) of the car. The fastening device comprises a locking device (7) engaged in a locking aperture (4) of the sheet metal part. The locking device is arranged at a side (15) of the housing, and an attachment member (8) is formed at another side (16) of the housing that is appropriately opposite to the former side of the housing. The locking device comprises a U-shaped tab that is received into the detent aperture of the sheet metal part. An independent claim is also included for a method for fastening a cabinet of an electronic device i.e. control device, in a car.
