Method for predictive collision warning and collision avoidance of e.g. passenger car, with e.g. pedestrian, in road traffic at e.g. pedestrian zone, involves determining presence of road user in environment of vehicle
The method involves determining an environment of a vehicle. The environment is analyzed, and a presence of a road user is determined in the environment of the vehicle. The determined probability of occurrence for the road user in the environment of the vehicle is larger than a preset probability value. A signal observed outside the vehicle is released. The environment for an actual position of the vehicle is determined, and the environment for a predicted future position of the vehicle is determined. The environment is determined by a sensory environment scanning. An independent claim is also included for a device for predictive collision warning and collision avoidance.
