Igniter comprises an elongated tube composed of combustible material, an outer surface (1a), an inner surface (1b), front side and combustible paper material (3) sparsely arranged within a body (1). At least one opening blank or a predetermined breaking point is arranged in the middle of the body, which is formed by a gashed or incised cut in the body and extends almost through the body. An ignition opening (1c) is formed by an openable valve, and the combustion air- or combustion gas openings are formed from opening blanks in the ignition opening. Independent claims are also included for: (1) igniting the fuel wood or solid fuels by the igniter; (2) a paper roll including kitchen- or toilet paper roll, where a paper winding is mounted on a prepared cardboard body comprising at least one completely or partially gashed or incised cut and at least one predetermined breaking point in its middle region, such that the cardboard can be used as a component of the igniter after it is released from the paper winding; and (3) a cardboard body, which is formed as a folding packaging by folding together and used as a postcard, advertising packing or gift wrapping, where the cardboard can be used as the component of the igniter after it is folded.
