The handle (1) has a handle body (2), and an actuating pin (3) coupled with the body for actuating a closure mechanism. A fitting (4) is attached to a door or a window, and a detection device (6) comprises an evaluation electronic circuit (9) for position detection of a handle position of the body. The circuit has a time measuring instrument (8) with adjustable time period. Starting of the period is triggered by motion of the body, and execution of the period is displayed by acoustic sound e.g. melody, or equal electronic or mechanical signal. An LED light source is provided at the handle.
