The system (100) has an output device (1) for digital keys i.e. token, near-field communication (NFC) mobile phone (2), and a near-field enabled lock (3) i.e. door lock, of a door opening system. A digital key is assigned to the NFC mobile phone by using a NFC connection. A count contained in the keys is compared with a count that is stored in the near-field enabled lock for an opening operation of the near-field enabled lock. The near-field enabled lock is released based on a positive comparison result. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a contactless entry system.
