Pharmaceutical composition in the form of a lubricating agent or a lubricating gel, comprises: (a) octenidine and/or its salts; and (b) at least one local anesthetic. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a container, preferably application device in the form of a sterile syringe comprising the composition; (2) a catheter, preferably urinary bladder catheter comprising the composition, where the composition is applied into an insertable and/or an introducible portion of the catheter into a body lumen, preferably urethra; (3) a packing unit comprising at least one container or the catheter, where the container and/or the catheter are introduced in an outer packing protecting against the contamination; and (4) a kit, preferably catheterization system comprising the catheter, preferably urinary bladder catheter on one hand as spatially separated components, and the composition on the other hand, where the composition is introduced into the container.
