The method involves stimulating an input signal (7) i.e. electrical data signal, and a stimulation signal, which represents an object, of a recognition device i.e. image-processing system (1) by supplying the input signal to the device via an electrical direct connection e.g. controller area networkconnection. An output signal (5) of the device is generated based on the input signal and analyzed. The input signal is adapted based on a result of the analysis. An image with the object is represented on a monitor (9). The image is adapted with the object. An independent claim is also included for a test apparatus for testing a recognition device.
