The electrode has a hydrophobic structure, a gas distribution structure and electron lead structure, where the hydrophobic structure is produced by pulsed laser radiation. The hydrophobic structure corresponds to surface area geometry of black silicon, where a surface area of the hydrophobic structure forms a chemical dense passivation against possible corrosive effects of adjacent electrolytes. The surface area of the hydrophobic structure includes catalyzers for electrochemical reactions, and the electron lead structure consists of a gas guiding channel.
