The system has an electronic control unit containing a programmed control law, and an electromagnetic control valve (13) is activated by an electric voltage signal from a vehicle battery. The signal is modulated based on the law. An actuation device (15) is controlled by the valve. An electric voltage signal correction unit applies a corrective measure (C1) depending on the reference voltage and the electric voltage signal of the battery, and another corrective measure (C2) defined by a function of the battery voltage. The latter measure is equal 1 for the reference voltage. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling power supplied by a turbine of a turbocharger in an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.
