Preparing O-acetylsalicylic acid salt of basic amino acid, comprises (i) collecting, in a reactor (4), an aqueous solution of basic amino acid, O-acetylsalicylic acid solution in an organic solvent miscible with water, at less than 30[deg] C under normal pressure; (ii) reacting for sufficient time to obtain desired sa (iii) adding acetone to precipitate the desired salt, to the reaction medium thus constituted, at a temperature of less than 40[deg] C and under normal pressure, in a crystallizer (8); and (iv) isolating the obtained product from the liquid medium and drying at less than 50[deg] C. Preparing O-acetylsalicylic acid salt of basic amino acid, comprises (i) collecting, in a reactor (4), an aqueous solution of basic amino acid, O-acetylsalicylic acid solution in an organic solvent miscible with water, at a temperature of less than 30[deg] C under normal pressure; (ii) reacting for sufficient time to obtain the desired sa (iii) adding acetone to precipitate the desired salt, to the reaction medium thus constituted, at a temperature of less than 40[deg] C and under a normal pressure, in a crystallizer (8); and (iv) isolating the obtained product from the liquid medium and drying at a temperature of less than 50[deg] C, where the amino acid is introduced into the reactor in such an amount that is present in the reaction medium in slight default with respect to the stoichiometry, the weight concentration of solutions of the two reactants are less than the saturation, but greater than 10% for O-acetylsalicylic acid and 20% for the amino acid, the reaction is carried out in heterogeneous medium (suspension) at a temperature of less than 0[deg] C by stirring, and the salt, after addition of acetone in crystallizer, precipitates by forceful stirring, the salt is dried directly just after isolated from its precipitation medium, without prior washing. An independent claim is included for a powder composition obtained by the process comprising more than 95% of grains of the composition having an average diameter of 5-130 microns.
