The device has a longitudinal handle (1) with an end carrying an oval shaped cleaning head (2) of 5 to 10mm height. The head is made of flexible material such as silicone, elastomer or rubber. A flexible membrane (4) is fixed on the head via edges of the membrane for covering a cleaning surface of the head such that a surface of the membrane covering the cleaning surface is deformed when contacted with teeth or gum during a cleaning action. The membrane is made of flexible material such as silicone. The edges of the membrane are fixed to edges of the cleaning surface of the head. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a buccodental cleaning device.
