The tool has a support coupled with a machine tool. Trimming elements (2) are assembled with respect to the support, and include an intermediate part (22) with trimming surfaces. The roughness of the trimming surfaces of the trimming elements is greater than that of one end (23) of the trimming elements. The support includes a coupling shaft that is coupled to a pin of a revolving machine. The trimming surfaces are tilted in an angle between 10 and 45 degrees with respect to an axis of the coupling shaft when the trimming elements are at rest. An independent claim is also included for a method for trimming an edge of a machined surface in a machined part.
